Silverstream Heights Silverstream Heights Here, at the cold origin of the Silverstream River, on the near summit of a shallow, snow capped mountain dwells the Aeran King and his family. This territory is so high above the rest of the Aeran kingdom and the lands of all the other alignments that its inhabitants can overlook them with ease, excepting maybe the tall, ugly peaks of the Incendian King's abode, and there is a few rocky lookouts dedicated to this purpose. This domain is covered in light, powderey snow for three seasons of the year, but there is enough food to go around, if you know where to look, and fair shelter too, with caverns and groves of thick pines, but the equines who live here sometimes have it much harder than they care to let on. Facing freezing nights, their food source being covered in knee-deep snow at the best of times, and natures stormy fury often bombarding them with fierce blizzards, sleet and hail. Snowy Hills Upon these gentle hills where light snow falls frequently is the home to common Aeran equines. Shivering pines are dotted across the scape, mostly huddling in a few small groves, big, pale ash boulders are nuzzled between the hillocks and sickly, wet grass struggles up through the mushy snow. In the warmer half of the year, this place is lively and green, but with winter comes a bleak appearance and bitter cold. Food is fairly scarce here, mostly soggy and trodden beneath the snow, but the sheltering groves of pines are treasure troves - protecting lush thickets of grass and browse all year round as well as offering warm shelter in the common snowfalls and sleet storms. Existance can often be hard here, starvation is a constant threat, but you'll never hear a word of complaint from the prideful inhabitants.
Icy Glade This large, temperamental territory lies at the base of Silvestream Mountain, in its wet lowlands where the rocks and ice of many a landslide are layed to rest. The ground here is icy and hard, and none but the hardiest of hardy trees and plants grow here, but it has many distinct advantages over its more pleasant looking counterparts. Not only is the grass plentiful and fairly green here, but there are large hot springs further into the lowlands that bubble and steam out of the earth. The weather, also, is warmer across the year and when the cold snap and snowfalls of winter do hit this domain, at least the herds of Aerans that live here have the hot springs to warm their blood.
